Inetimi Alfred Odom, better known by his stage name Timaya, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter. Born on August 15, 1980, in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria, he is recognized for his unique blend of dancehall, reggae, and Afrobeat music.
Timaya’s career took off with the release of his debut single, “Dem Mama,” in 2005. The song became a major hit, propelling him to stardom. He has since released several successful albums, including “True Story,” “Gift and Grace,” “De Rebirth,” “Upgrade,” “Epiphany,” and “Gratitude.”
Known for his energetic performances and catchy lyrics, Timaya has established himself as one of the most influential figures in the Nigerian music industry. His music often explores themes of love, heartbreak, and social issues. Some of his most popular songs include “Plantain Boy,” “Ukwu,” and “Bum Bum.”
