Sauti Sol is a Kenyan Afro-pop band formed in Nairobi in 2005 by vocalists Bien-Aimé Baraza, Willis Chimano, and Savara Mudigi. Later, guitarist Polycarp Otieno joined the group.
Known for their rich harmonies, innovative sound, and socially conscious lyrics, Sauti Sol has become one of the most influential music groups in Africa. Their music often blends traditional Kenyan sounds with contemporary R&B and pop elements, creating a unique and refreshing style.
Some of their most popular songs include “Sura Yako,” “Nerea,” “Melanin,” and “Suzanna.” Sauti Sol has also collaborated with international artists such as Patoranking, Burna Boy, and Kizz Daniel.
