Innocent Didace Balume, known professionally as Innoss’B, is a Congolese singer-songwriter, rapper, percussionist, dancer, and philanthropist. Often referred to as the “Jeune Leader,” he is renowned for pioneering the AfroCongo music genre, an eclectic fusion of Congolese rumba, indigenous folklore, and ndombolo.1
Born and raised in Goma, North Kivu, Innoss’B began his music career at a young age. He gained recognition after winning the 2007 Revelation Award at the Goma Tourism Fair. His unique blend of traditional Congolese music and modern hip-hop and R&B has captivated audiences worldwide.
Some of his most popular songs include “Yope,” “Jolie Nana,” “Oyo,” and “Dolce Gabbana.” His music often explores themes of love, heartbreak, and social issues. Innoss’B’s energetic performances and charismatic stage presence have made him a beloved figure in the Congolese music scene.
