Hervé Gola Bataringe, known professionally as Ferre Gola, is a Congolese singer-songwriter, dancer, and record producer. Revered as “Jésus de Nuances,” he is known for his “warm tenor” and is considered a significant figure in the evolution of fifth-generation Congolese rumba.1
Ferre Gola first gained recognition as a member of the legendary soukous band Wenge Musica. After leaving the group, he formed his band, Quartier Latin International, and later, his solo career.
His music is characterized by its energetic rhythms, soulful vocals, and captivating stage presence. He has released numerous successful albums, including “Boite Noire,” “Qui est derrière toi?”, and “Solola Bien.” Some of his most popular songs include “Sexy Dance,” “Vita Imana,” and “Libala.”
